Not a huge mod, but the web site says you can release the latch and let it go. It slowly lowers hands off! I've bounced mine way too many times over the years!

The Nissan Titan I had for a few months as a rental had a strut like that. Made a HUGE difference in the use of the tailgate when you use it a lot during the day.

Well it looks like I was gonna be on terminal back order. So, I cancelled that order and ordered from JC Whitney who says they have them in stock .We'll see...Anyone got one yet???....Brian
