Well it looks like I was gonna be on terminal back order. So, I cancelled that order and ordered from JC Whitney who says they have them in stock .We'll see...Anyone got one yet???....Brian
It doesn't look like they have the F250's, only the F150's. Have you taked with them about the one for the F250's? I guess I'll wait for the others to come in, so they say within the next few weks.
If you look at their website though they are showing it in operation on the new body style of the F150, a totally different tailgate than the Super Duty. The old F150 body style may have had the same tailgate as the current Super Duties. I wouldn't mind having one but I'll wait until they have one listed specifically for the Super Duty. If you look at them on JC Whitney's website it's the same way, F150 only (new body style).
Wolf , If you have the patience to download the installation video( had another surgery,so I've had plenty of free time!). It explains it.one end of the the spring metal rod goes in about 1 1/2"in to a hole you drill close to the tail light. The other to a hole you dril in the bottom of the tailgate. I know that doesn't sound reall clear, but looks like it'd work. As soon as you open the tailgate, it starts loading the rod. Oviously then it takes quite a bit of the weight off to make it easier to close. Clear as mud??...Brian
