Well have to figure out something.
Just add it to the engine and hold it at your house - if it needs to go to Dan's I can deliver.

Thanks guys - this solves another problem!!
btw, can we just swap the gears with the 3.56 ones there now? It has new bearings, brakes, and drums.

If the internal bearings are good I would just swap the outer bearings/hubs/drums over to Tims diff, that would be much easier than setting the gears up in another housing,

Skip, which is better? The soft grab of a functional limited slip, or the agressive lock provided by a locked rear end? Should we continue to look for a locker, or just stay with the limited slip that Tims rear already has?

I understand lockers can make the truck hard to turn when things are real greasy.

Why not a minispool for the front? It's very cost effective

I bought a 75 new, and when both front wheels spun (it had a limited slip front) you lost all directional control.

If we're mainly using it in mud bogs, then we only need straight & a little directional control. Also helpful in rock crawlin.

Sorry Tigger, I have to beg off this weekend. I have some medical stuff they are doing on Friday, and everyone went bug-eyed and crazy when I told them I would be out of town on Saturday. This same group tried to pull my driver's license last year - they would really flip out if they knew I intended to towbar a truck down 99.

As to the directional control in the mud - the one drag I attended was two long pits about a foot deep in mud. By the second heat there was a lane that was easier going, and some deep spots you could drive around.

I have never driven a mud racer, Nevrenufhp, so can not claim to be any sort of a expert. If you have and tell me that it is not important, I will accept that.

Okay Clint, that sounds like it will work out all the way around then, so let's plan it for next weekend instead.

Best not to **** off the docs...!

As for the locked front end, we could put a spool in it and if we don't like it we can run it with one hub unlocked...
