Junk
A free 79 460/C6 with low miles.
Wish I was in the junk business!!!
"You didnt sell it because of 200 dollars?"
But, that said, it does look a lot better than the donor truck with the utility box on it

Oh, speaking of things she can't see...i found two more Honda 90's today for 200 bucks...scooped them up in the '59 and parked it out back...gonna have to sneak'em into the barn after work tomorrow...but I did show great restraint when i was there...the guy had a '52 Buick 4 door 9mini land yacht) with the staright 8 OHV engine...52,000 original miles, couldn't find a spec of rot on it, super straight car...and he'd "like to get 4 grand for it"...I know I could have talked him down to 3 grand.
But just no way to hide that beast. Super cool car, interior was all in it, nice too...
And now that I just got the shop I've been waiting almost three years for, our contractor just decided to take it over for himself so he can store his extra work truck with all his tools in the back and be able to lock them up on the job instead of driving the truck home at night. My boss seems cool with it...I'm about to start looking for another job.
On a lighter note, I scored a set of trailer axles today. I was talking to a mechanic I know who works for one of the local trucking companies, looking for a shock bushing for our POS 5-yard dumpster and he told me to check in the scrap pile out back. Lo and behold, there are 4 trailer axles in the pile, complete drum to drum and including leaf springs and spring mounts, even the cut-out frame sections where the mounts seld up. Two of them are mangled but the other two are straight. I asked the mechanic if the owner would sell them to me, he said, "Just take them, it's just the scrap pile, we don't care."
They're practically brand new, both have brakes and all and are just the right width for my trailer frame. So I'm going to have my vehicle trailer before too long, almost for free...! (I was given the trailer frame too!)
The past few weekends on my spare time I've spent widing a set of axles, making new mounts and plates for them, sanding them, primering and painting...to turn my dads boat trailor into a tandem axle setup.
I have a good 40 hours into drilling out 1 inch holes to plug weld, cuttnig the stuff and welding and painting it all up.
And all you did was scoop'em and go!!!!
Well, a least I'll stay dry if it rains

But then I have been waiting for Mike to get into a better mood before I suggest he help convert the boat trailer to a vehicle hauler. . .

It would be easy to convert the set up I made for a car hauler though...they were 5Klb axles I used, I built a mini-subframe on them 72inches apart to slide under the boat traler frame...so yes...someday they could be used as a car hauler. Just unbolt them and bolt them to a framework.
BUT...not until a few more of my babies leave the nest!
