how are these heads and what are they off of? if anyone knows thanks
I looked these up in my cylinder head ID book and I came up a C1AE-A head # as a 352/390 head from 1961-63. 71-74cc, 2.02" intake and 1.55" exhaust. Hopefully this is what you are looking for, someone will chime in if not correct.
Sounds right to me? Yes those are nice heads to put in CJ size valves, and they also have the Tall port which means thay flow real well..and even better with the casting flash and the bumps cleaned up in them..
If I was to run Irons heads again? which I may in the future? I'd run em!!! after they were re-worked.. But out of all the FE heads out there..those are one of the ones in the top of the pecking order!! JMO..
thats what i wanted to hear! there are so many diff. fe heads i wondered if they werer all pretty much the same or if there was differences that would make a change in a street rod.. u have c4s c8s c7s c1s =
Can you explain what you mean by angle milling? I'am an X-Machinist and i'am not firmiliar with that ? Maybe we called it something else 25 years ago ?
removing more deck material of the exhaust side than the intake side reduces the combustion chambers raises the runners and helps deshroud the valves by moving the valves closer to the center of the combustion camber 427head casting c5ae-r
