i have posted once before on this subject, im sorry to be a pain, lol. does anyone by any chance have a pic or drawing of what a manual locking hub looks like after the conversion to manual? my buddy where i work on my truck misplaced the diagram to the conversion kit and now were lost. im changing my wheel bearrings this sat. and i wanted to do the conversion while i had everything apart. the kit has 3 pieces for each side but i cant remeber how they went. and once takin apart do i reuse anything that was in there from the auto locking hubs? any help would be greatly appreciated! also bad shake at 55mph. any faster or any slower its fine. im having rotors turned 2moro and replacing wheel bearrings on sat, hopefully that will take care of it. any input will help. thanx everyone.
Your 55mph shake could also be radius arm bushings, ball joints, tie rods, etc. Could also be a combination of "warped" rotors or loose / worn bearings as well, or even out-of-balance wheels/tires. You might be able to find the diagrams you need, depending on which ones you got, i.e. Warn or Mile Marker (not sure if any others are out there that make a conversion kit?). http://www.warn.com http://www.milemarker.com
You might also be able to go to autozone.com or look in the Haynes or Chilton's manual and look at the exploded view of a manual hub setup for your rig and go from there. Should be the same or somewhat similar to how the conversion kit installs.
