Red face can computer be reset?

Not sure if this is the correct place for this question but here goes. I have an 05 6.0 C/C 8ft bed. I just jumped 2 tire sizes.Went from 265/75R/17 to 285. Can the dealer rest the computer so the speedometer/shiftponts are correct. I have a super tuner, or should I change it that way. Thanks for the help

Being you have a turner. I wouldn't go to dealer as they might flag your vehicle and void the warranty.

I'm sure a dealer would be happy to do it, but they will charge you something. Being that this would not be a warranty job, I doubt that they would give you any hassle over the tuner. That's how our dealership would handle it anyway, don't know about others.

tune it yourself...NO reason to go to a dealer.
with the SuperTuner, can you change back and forth to OEM?

I see this all the time and it's SCREAMS "I'm using a tuner and I'm trying to fool the dealership by removing the program so they won't know"

catalinagoose: I read your post and that sounds like great advise but how many miles would one have to drive so that code does not show???

I wouldn't even worry about it. I found that going to a 285 in my truck made my speedo more accurate.

I did have the dealer ask me if I had reset my computer when I took it in for repairs. I would tell them the next time they asked me that I had them checked at Autozone and they cleared them for me.
