help installing logitech quickcam
i just bought a logitech quick cam webcam today. came home and tried to install it but gave me the alarm "you need windows XP service pack 2 or higher to install" so i downloaded service pack 3, after several hours of downloading it still wouldnt let me install my camera, i then tried downloading and installing SP 2, still no go. i also downloaded 62!! other updates my computer told me i needed. this has been an all night project and im not getting anywhere, im not all that computer literate but i know a thing or 2. anyone have any ideas? thanks

What security software do you have installed?
Have you checked Logitech's website for known support install FAQ's?
Check hardware setup in control panel. If you see the cam has a problem, delete it and let windows find it again.
Did you have to install software provided by Logitech?
Apparently your situation is not uncommon. Here is a tech support link to Logitech concerning this issue. Looks like there is new software to download.

thanks for the link, im trying a couple things right now. and yes it came with software to install and that is when i get the alarm message saying i need windows xp service pack 2 or newer to install camera and ive downloaded that service pack but still doesnt work.
