Ok I am looking at a 63 F-250 4x4, it has the 292, 4 speed, and 2 speed transfer, Custom Cab, with a Ford flat-bed, I am trying to convince the wife, is this rare? Not convincing the wife, the truck?!
That is why I like my 1966 F-250! Rides like a TRUCK! I actually really like the flatbed, needs cleaning, but,,,,
I will try and get the VIN tag info tomorrow, and it has factory brush guard

Reason: adding to
I've got closeup pictures of the factory installed original brush guard, power brakes, spotlight, seats and the like of a '66 Ranger.
I was passing through Independence, KS and saw this truck parked at a gas station. I stopped and introduced myself. The owner was very nice, and let me take as many pictures as I wanted. It was a beautiful truck.
It wasn't "restored" but it was re-painted, with the seats recovered, new carpeting and the like.
I didn't take pictures to show how nice the truck looked, I took them for reference. For example, how do the braces for the bush guard mount to the frame? How about how the spotlight was fitted to the cowl and the dash?
The power brakes setup was quite interesting as well, it is more like the larger trucks setup.
He was the original owner, too.
I still have the original owners manual, sales brouchure, and accessories list for my '65 F100.
My stance on grille guards: They do more harm than good...as when hit...they bend back into the hood and grille. The same holds true for the new brush guards.
Spotlights...want a new original Unity? They can still be bought locally. I never wanted one, but have an original kit (Ford # C1TZ-15313-B) in my stash of NOS parts.
This I would buy...if Ford made one..but prolly didn't: 1965-66 Ranger Crew Cab.
