i have a 85 bronco with the 351 H.O. all i have done to is but a edelbrock carb on it....my question is the only way it stays running with i keep the engine turning over as soon as i let go of the key it shuts off...i cant figure what the problem is...
ignition module will also cause that check the white wire comming off the module see if it has voltage when u spin the engine it is the plug with 2 wires, better yet check them both for voltage
I'm not sure on that year, but it could be the power to the fuel pump is only working when you turn the key. I've seen it before. I believe it has some kind of sensor to tell if the engine is running. If it thinks its not, it cuts the power to the pump. (so it doesnt pump fuel out in an accedent.
the ingntion moduel and coil must have been bad as soon as i replaced both of them it started right up...now i got a leaky tank is there anything i can pour something in the tank to make it stop leaking
