The foam padding on my drivers seat is looking a little flat and has a small tear on the side. I've been looking around to find a replacement foam liner for it but so far not getting on too well. I've checked the springs underneath the squab which I understand are a regular failure but these are OK. I'm guessing the previous owner was shorter than I as it only the outside that is worn flat from where they would 'slid' out the truck. It means I'm sitting at an angle when driving!
Being in the UK, a replacement seat from the US would be expensive to ship so I was considering looking at getting one from a crash damaged Bronco or more likely F150 in the UK. Could someone give me an indication of which years would be a direct swap. I seem to remember an 87-97 F150 shares most of the common parts with the 92 Bronco. Would a seat from a newer F150 fit?
Alternatively, if someone could recommended a made to fit replacement foam or covers I'd be grateful.
I believe you are correct about the 87-97 cab pieces swapping. Another possibility is, if you can find a copy of Hemmings Motor News. I can almost guarantee that someone in there sells complete rebuild kits for your seats. The padding and cover shouldn't cost too much to ship because I doesn't weigh much. Good luck.
There is outfit from Canada that advertises truck/bronco parts all time. on ebay . I have bid on bucket seats from them. If I find it I will get email address. I have used a passenger side seat foam and modded it to fit my driver side . And have cloth fixed at upolstery shop. I had $75.00 in every thing . Wasn't exact match but couldn't find new cloth for seat.
As for newer seats at work I drive a 2004 F450 xl and the buckets in it are nearly the same demensions.(shape also) I couldn't find a set for less than $400.00 so never check but would have to fab them to fit your seat bases Good luck

Reason: left out seats
LMC do ship to the UK (at a price!) and I've used them before but when I looked at the catalogue earlier they only seemed to do rebuild kits for 'classics'.
