I have the setup you're inquiring about - an '85 Bronco with the 302EFI and the T-18 4-speed tranny. What's up? No guarantees, but I'll try to answer any questions you may have.....
Ok thats good what kind of headers are you running and how do they clear your tranny? I bought a 302 but im converting it to carburation intake due to the fact that it didnt have an intake when I bought it.
is there anyway that you can get a picture of the engine compartment so i can see how everything is hooked up.
I haven't added headers, yet. I'm running the stock manifolds into a Bassani high-flow y-pipe and cat, and from there into a Flowmaster 50-series 3" in / 2.5" dual out muffler. I'm keeping the "fake" dual setup to stay emissions legal, but I am planning to add headers, most likely JBA or Bassani. The y-pipe was a bolt-on to the manifolds, and the headers will supposedly dimensionally replace the manifolds to bolt up to the stock system, so I'm not expecting any clearance or fit problems. What, specifically, would you like pictures of in the engine compartment?
mainly the exhaust around the tranny ive looked and looked
in and out of diffrent mags and all list them for the 80-87 bronco
but they say see not and the not says they will not fit with man trans
ot the floor shift auto trans
Interesting..... I wonder if their headers don't clear the clutch and/or shift linkage. Again, my system fit, but I haven't tried to purchase or install headers, yet. Maybe I'm in for the same trouble. Did you need pix of anything?
I heard that the exhaust headers off of 289s will fit on the 302
but im not too sure about that. I remembered it was the newest JC Whitney mag I looked in for headers they cost 189.00
