I also have a 1944 W-4 IHC that was dad`s first tractor, 1975 MF 285/85 hp with a front end loader/no 3 point hitch, a 1996 JD 755/3 cylinder 20hp diesel front wheel assist/loader/3 point hitch.
We live on a farm with room for these tractors and a bunch of older Ford trucks.
Though I don't collect old tractors, I do work on ALOT of the old Fords since I've been at a New Holland dealer for the last seventeen years. I love those old hunks of iron, and had a blast some years back doing a full restoration on a 1950 8N. If I could make a decent living doing nothing but old Ford tractors I'd be in seventh heaven!! If any of you lucky owners ever need some input, just let me know. I'd be happy to do whatever I can to help you out.
The YT site really is a great place, and I try to help people out on the Ford boards as much as I can. Another decent site is n-complete.com They have a message board, sell parts and complete remanufactured Ford tractors that they do in-house.
Nothing like an old Ford, whether it's a tractor, truck or car...
I bought a Ford 800 lately and would like to find an info site for it. After a set of plugs and a carb job it`s running nce. I can`t wait for summer to play with it some more, I have alot of grass to cut and I was wondering if it can handle a 7 ft finish cut mower easily.
Search here. Should find what you need. It should handle it, saw someplace on a first search, and somebody said a 6ft bushhog is easily doable. http://www.ytmag.com/
Not trying to dissuade you but there is an antique tractor forum somewhere on the web...
That's not really needed. It's a general topic forum, so anyone can post anything here. We can love both FOrd trucks and antique tractors at the same time, and it may be a way to connect people that may not have connected on the forums yet. Old tactor parts can be hard to find, but the more contacts you can make, the better your chances are. Also Lots of people have sentimental value it their fathers, grandfathers, or great grandfather's tractor(myself included).
Back to topic, I have a 1938 Allis Chalmers B, but i'm going to sell it to fix my other one, a 1959 Massey Ferguson 65 Diesel, that was given to me by my grandfather. It needs the engine rebuilt, and I already had the Injection pump rebuilt(at a hefty $). But this tractor is a part of my grandfather that I can always hang onto.

Thanks, I`m counting on it being able to handle the 7 ft that I want to buy soon. I had a 5 ft and it breezed along. It`s much nicer foor cutting grass than the smaller JD, instead of sitting in the dust I`m above it. It rides better with the bigger wheels/tires being more stable cutting ditches.
