My 2000 V10 Excursion with 87k miles is almost sitting on the front bump stops. The part # on the springs is yc35 ace, rpn 0050. I have a set of brand new take offs from a 2004 V10 crewcab short bed with the offroad package. They are part# 3c34-ada, r-050-4. I also have a used set from a 2000 f350 V10 crewcab longbed part#1c34 aca, rpn 3460. Will either of these bolt up? and if so which ones will work best? I wouldnt mind a little lift in the front as it rides pretty low in the front. Also my check engine lite is coming on so i am going to get a scanner. This is the only gasser I own so I dont have any experience with them. From what I understand, the "tuners" also have a code reader in them. Should I just spend the extra $$ on a tuner ? Does anyone make one for a 2000 V10? Do they make a difference? Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks-Scott
the superchip tuner model 1715 is the one you want for that truck and it does double as a code reader as far as i know, as for the springs i am also interested in this as i have the same problem and am searching for springs for it
sewerat- thanks for the reply. Where do you recommend buying the superchip tuner? Is there any info about what it does? I am happy with the V10 in every way (except for gas mileage of course!). I only get 9-10 mpg so any increase would be great. If the tuners dont help with mileage I might just get a code reader and spend the difference on gas!! If I figure out the front springs I'll post it here to let you know. Thanks-Scott
if you look up superchips website direct you will learn alot about them. you can get them from almost any autoparts store now but if you want some of the sponsors here offer a discount on some items. I know that at one time troyer proformance was offering a discount to members and they are one of the bes as far as knowledge of tuners go. Most places i have found for the tuners are around $400 but you can find some deals. Just becareful if you are looking at a used one as they can be vin locked and then you have to pa extra to get them cleared out.
