I have 2000 4x4 7.3 Excursion and am looking to do a spring swap. I am finding numerous different codes and numbers on springs. My Ex had 270k when I got it so it may not have the original springs. Could anyone help interpret the following codes actually stamped on the springs:
Front YC35ADB RPN2759
Rear YC35 6C RPN2659
I would like to know if my Ex already has V and B codes.
Unfortunately there is no cross-reference material available that anyone has found or put together, that has been tested and proven correct, when it comes to the stamped numbers on the springs and what code they are designated.
Stewart, is there any way that we could get any support from Ford engineers that are knowledgeable specifically to the Excursion? Someone like that would be absolutely priceless to our forum!
I had extensive conversations with Ed (Parts Guy Ed) well over a year ago regarding the stamped numbers on the springs and he said he had no clue or insight as to the rhyme or reason Ford had with the numbering system on the springs, and any possible cross reference to Ford part numbers.
