spedo

does any one know where the spedo cabel goes on the trany of a 84 f150 i can't see any where to put it

The speedometer cable hooks near the back of the transmission on the drivers side of the car. Just before where the driveshaft goes in.

It might help if you tell us if you have an automatic, or manual tranny, 2, or, 4 wheel drive!

oh sorry i was in a hury. it is an auto with 4 wheel drive

do you mean on the top of it because i can't see the area to put it

there does not apper to be a place to put it in on the transfer case that i can see

I guess I should ask the question. If you took it out or did it break? Look for a small 3/8 bolt I think that is what holds down the gear It is not in a very obvious place its up on top. If it broke you cant just slide it back in

If the cable were broken off it would be very hard to see. When I last dealt with mine, I had to crawl under and stick my head up between the driveshaft and frame rail to see it well. I believe my '83 Bronco had an 8mm (3/16?) bolt and my '86 has a 3/16 (Allen wrench) cap screw.

no it was not broken but when i purcesed it it was not hooked up
