Can't get the key pad to work I know the code. I took it apart and it looked good so I cleaned the contacts anyways. But when I push a number on the key pad it doesn't light up or unlock or lock the doors. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I see this post was abandoned years ago without resolution. Well, I'm in the same boat and, as a rule, don't create new topics that already exist. No juice at the keypad, and fuses are good. Saw a post earlier that mentioned broken harness/ splice connection under passenger door sill cover. But that issue was regarding "door locks, auto headlights, and 3rd row seats". I've attached the electrical diagram. But, I don't see any particular circuit sending power to the keypad. I'm assuming, since the fuses check good, it must be a bad splice or connector. Maybe the ground?
Just wondering if this is an issue anybody else has had? It would save me some time to go straight to the problem. I've got a fair sized list of issues to address, and this is high on the list. LOVE the keyless entry pad. We've had all our cars using the same code for over a decade. Use it all the time to leave car running and locked, locking it up from the outside having exited. Opening trunk without opening door... I NEED IT!
