My girlfriend has a 2021 Powerboost and her key less entry keypad has stopped working. She has the original OEM SecuriCode credit card sized card from the dealership from her original purchase that clearly shows the five digit code.
She has been complaining that the side of her truck has scratches where it appears that someone has been trying to use her keypad where the shinny black plastic area has noticeable marks on it.
If someone attempts to access the vehicle multiple times with the key less entry keypad will it eventually lock it's self out???
If so, how can I assist her in resetting it without a Dealership visit?
if you have the original code card, you should be able to follow procedures in owners manual and on screen if you have sync 3 or 4
then have her lock the key pad card in the house and not in the truck once you get it reset
yes the key pad will lock out, but its not a long time.
Thanks so much for the quick response, I just assisted her with her SYNC4 and there is a place under VEHICLE at the very bottom that references the keypad. Apparently it will allow you to add another code and in doing so you must first put in the original code. When we put the original code in and press enter it fails.
Now, her SYNC4 has recently just updated and like most devices I wonder if her SYNC4 need to be factory reset/rebooted for the new 2.1.1 firmware to activate properly?
When she gets back from shopping I'll try a Master Reset on her SYNC4 and report back...
