just got latest flash

the one for the recall from Ford ('05 PSD) for cold start up or what ever it was for. Anyway now when I shut my truck off I hear (the fuel pump?) run for about 60 seconds after I get out of the truck. Is this a normal event with the new flash or is something else going on here?

The noise ur hearing is the injectors cycling. And yes its normal.

thanks. Is this a result of the flash? Never did it previous to the visit to the dealer.

Yes, it is a result of the new flash. It is purging the oil from your injectors, which helps eliminate cold-start issues.

My 06 PSD doesn't make this noise after shut down so I assume that the injectors are not purging. Is something different about the 06 that they don't need to cycle after shut down, or do I need a new flash? Thanks, John

i have an 06 ps and i just got the reflash that cycles the injectors for cold starts, sometimes i hear it when i shut the key off and sometime i dont here it........this new reflash is a good thing it will help those high dollar injectors to last longer.
