I'm not sure how this site works yet just got on to it but my dad has a 79 f 150 Midas touch custom brown with the same paint scheme as the black and blue one
I have visited this site for years looking for one of these trucks and they are very rare these days. My family owned one brand new in 78 and from what i understand the midas touch edition trucks were an option for dealers to order through ford direct. Our local dealer had 2 on the lot when we bought ours. Unfortunately ours was stolen in the late 80s when a family member took it to oklahoma. ill try and post a pic. i beleive they came in blue, silver and black.
How do i attach a pic?
Have you got a picture?
I saw one on eBay a few years ago in Oklahoma .
Hold up, Mil1ion, I wasn't disputing you. What I was saying that it wasn't a one truck deal. There were several done and they went through a local dealer, I was told. No, I am sure there wasn't an RPO but they were sharp trucks. I had a picture of the truck but we can't find it. If we do find it. I will share it.
I found this picture of my 78 back when dad first bought it. I've been scouring these forums hoping to run across another one in the blue scheme. If anyone has pictures of the blue midas touch, I'd be very interested in seeing them! Mine is the only one I've ever seen anywhere, Internet or otherwise.
I had the same truck when I was a teen, but in green. It had a short bed and bucket seats, round headlights, roll bar. I really really miss that old truck.
