DRL DIY installation

I would like to install DRL into my 2006 SD.
I need to find a source for parts and information to tdo this.

Turn the switch to auto and put electrical/duct tape over the sensor. $0.10 DRL's.

Or you could add a relay to customer access keyon powered wire and use it to power the low beams.

I bought an aftermarket DRL unit that runs the high beams at a lower voltage from Auto Barn for about $45. It comes on with the ignition and your regular light switch overrules it.

I used the ford drl module with my 05 350. The wires from the module were similar if not exact to the wires I was tapping into

Auto Barn sells the unit for $30
part # : HOP20013VA
one wire to high beam
one wire to low beam
one wire to battery
one wire to wire that is on with ignition
one wire to ground

High beam is on at reduced voltage

Regular light switch overides all.
