Back in January, I purchased a drl module for my 05 F350. Finally, I was able to install the module. Overall, the job was rather simple. I was quite suprised.
this was a Ford drl module. I tapped into the wires. The directions told you exactly what to look for. The hardest part was wring out the wires. The unit ran around $60.

This is good news. I have one on order looking for it to arrive any day now. Glad to here that it was simple. Anything I should watch out for when instlling my kit?
What exactly does the DRL kit operate? Headlights only? Headlights and foglamps? Does the kit reduce the wattage to lamps?
It operates the Headlights. However, One might be able to make some modifications to the way it is hooked up and make it run the fog lights. Maybe someone who has already done the install could comment.
Mark as far as installing it was pretty simple. On my 05 the wire on the emergency brake I needed to tie into was green. When your checking for the wire by the dimmer(low beam) switch, it is the harness above the steering column not the one next to the dimmer switch itself. That wire I belive was red w black tracer. The parking light lamp wire was brown on the main headlight switch. And I believe the 2 power wires were tied into yellow wires below the steering column. Just remember to verify the wires. good luck and let me know how you do. I also found it easier to use tap connectors or scotch locks. Just make sure they bite the wire. I had to recheck my work twice before I figured out my tap didn't bite the 1 wire. The module works perfect. the drl module reduces the headlight current to either 75% or 65% of the original.
