Smile Bed mat opinions

I bought a bed mat from Protecta/TrailFX, they said it was a "custom fit"
Well, it does not fit very good at the rear part of the wheel well.
Has any one here bought a custom fit mat that fits perfect??
My truck is a 77 and the peeps that I got the mat from said the mat fit trucks from 1974 to 1996.
He left out 1973 because he said the wheel wells were differant on a 73, is there any truth to his statement?

So, I was wanting a rubber bed mat for my truck that fit 100% with out any cutting, is it possible?
Thank you for any info

I called J-Mark, they also make bed mats and they said that their mats fit good
for my truck but would not say it fits 100% with out trimming.
I just don't get it, these peeps that make there oun stuff don't even know if what they make fits like it should

there is too many variables in boxes through out the years. the '74 to '96 boxes are close enough to only make one mat and make you trim.

Just go buy a big chunk of rubber somewhere and start cutting...

The other option is just have it coated, or coat is yourself.

So, has any one bought one that does not need triming?
I'm sure some one will weigh in that has.
If a company states that a mat fits with out triming and you have to trim it, they are misrepresenting what they sell.
That company I will stay away from for good.

Only thing I've seen a bed matt do is trap water and cause a rusty floor, even worse for one that does not fit properly... Since the spray on bed liners cam out, I haven't even considered a matt. When I haul something heavy or something that could dig into the liner, I throw an old piece of carpet in the bed and remove it when I'm done hauling.... Large piece of cardboard on the floor, cut to fit around the wheel wells even makes unloading sand and gravel a cake walk with the spray in liners.... JMO, but I can't see any reason to bother with a matt anymore....
