Does anyone know of a bed mat that would fit my 1966 F100 shortbed? I have heard rumors that a mat for a toyota and a dodge will fit but I have no idea what years. I found a universal truck bed mat for $89 that you have to cut to fit, both for length and you have to cut the area for the fender wells out. I don't want to use a spray or roll on bed liner as it is to permanent. If anyone knows where to get a bed mat, knows what year & type truck would cross over or has any other ideas I would like to hear them.

 

I cannot tell you specifically about bed mats but I wanted a tonneau for my 66, and I found out the upper bed dimensions are the same 65-79 according to the tonneau company. This should have roughly the same effect on the inside of the bed I would think. I would pull out a tape measure on someone else's truck befor I bought though.

 

I looked up a bed mat for a newer (1974) shortbed and the measurement was 81.5 x 65, I then went out and measured my 1966 shortbed and the measurement was 79 x 70, looks like I might have to buy the universal bed mat and cut it to fit.

 

Thats what i would do, that way its perfect.
