Does a 1992 351 Windsor have the raise lifter bores for roller lifters and the tapped holes to hold a lifter hold down spider? I can get this motor cheap and was wondering if i can make it a roller!
No. You can make it a roller motor but you need the small base circle cam and special linked lifters. Not worth it IMO, when the flat tappet cams come so close in performance.

Hope I'm not stepping on any toes here, but you only need a small base circle cam if you are useing a non rollor block with factory lifter. if he uses the linked lifter he can run any rollor cam.

Hey.. my toes are tuff!! The roller cam conversion kits I have seen had the linked lifters, I never thought of using OEM Ford lifters. Not sure how the spider would bolt down in a non-roller block, but that's not to say it can't be done. In any event, buying the lifters, cam and pushrods to convert a non roller motor could cost 3 times what a flat tappet cam and lifter set would,(new parts), that was my main point.
"Roller capable" 351W blocks started in 1994. Engine casting codes starting with "F4TE-". Not all of them had roller cams (IE Lightning trucks didn't) but the blocks all had the raised lifter bores and such to make installing an OEM roller cam setup straightforward.
1. How cheap can you get it for?
2. Will buying link lifters eat all the money you saved over buying a roller block?
I can get the 92 351w, good working low mile for 200 bucks... i had already had in my garage the roller set up. I dont wanna get the comp cam retro to expensive. So by the looks of it i need a 94 and newer 351w. I wanted to spend the few extra dollars I would of had left on for a carbed intake.

Crane's linkbar hydraulic roller lifters will run you $425 a set. These are the only chioce as far as I know when trying to run a std base circle hydraulic roller cam in a non roller block. To run a solid roller, you'd also have to add in the cost of screw in studs, guide plates and machinework.
