I just talked to Glen and it sounds like the body on the panel needs alot of work so I think the Project SK-51 would the quickest way to go for now, no idea on the price of the panel. Later the panel would work better, we need to get something quick for spring.
If you want to help then you are not useless Snowking. Hope you`re around, we need all the help we can get and more probably to get R done.
When ever it suits you are around, also it depends on the weather. We need to have a get together to lay out your plans and what you want done before we get started.
We plan on having a FTE meeting in sometime January, will you be around?
Sorry guys about getting your hopes up on this panel. It would not be ready by spring. It has potential and has the rare pocket doors for front doors. The panel has no motor or hood or glass and the two frront fenders are damaged. The sides are good and rear fenders are good. No rear axle or tranny. It would be a bit of a problem getting it out now with the snow. I will try and contact the owner. I will also try a post the pics I have of the panel on my gallery. I have trouble trying to upload pics that I have scanned in my computer onto the gallery. I have been trying to get my 78 trucks pics on with no luck.
Once again sorry about getting you guys all riled about the panel. But it would be a good worth while project for our FTE group to work on and maybe get into spome shows.
It needs work, but it would be worth it in the end. These panels are rare and few are around. One FTE member in Ont. is doing a 47 panel and there is a wrecker down By Estavan that is into fords and has some there. I just do not remember the name of the place for he had a web page with pics.
I wonder what wrecker that would be in Estevan there is sure not too many Glenn do you have a digital camera you could take pics on there plug it into your usb port then load them onto your comp then into your gallery or is this what you have been doing
Yes I have a digital now, but to get to the truck is a chore right now would need to do some major snowplowing to get to it. Its in a valley out of sight and being in the valley that is where the snow gathers.
If anyone is interested in the pics, just pm me with a emailaddres and I will send you the pics I have. Just not able to post here.
I have an idea to try an see if I can get it posted. Will let you know if it works.
It worked!! I got the 3 pics I have to load. So if you guy want to look at the panel there you go. Sorry they are all on the same page making it smaller, but you can see what it looks like. And if you look you will see the drivers door slides back into the panel. Very rare. Only built like that right after the war.
Wow neat truck you got that must be really rare even though its in need of a restoration but will make a great project you got a 78 F250 wow wasnt aware of that till now
