Just a quick question: What size are the rear u-bolt nuts on my 2003 F250 SD 4x4 (see sig)? I was wanting to replace my over-load springs...but do not have a deep socket that will fit. I rather not purchase 3 or 4 shooting in the dark...if you know what I mean. Especially since these trucks are half standard and the other metric.
Hey Catfish...that is what I was trying to avoid. If I do not find an answer here...may have to go that route. Problem with that...is I will have to use an adjustable wrench...and getting it to exact metric or standard will be kinda tricky at best.
Why not buy a complete set of wrenches/sockets etc?
If you have to resort to an adjustable wrench that is a bad start.
Do you have a $1000 I can have to buy a "COMPLETE" set (Metric, SAE, deep sockets, standard sockets, 3/8" and 1/2", all extentions, flex joints, etc...etc...etc...etc...?
OBTW: After doing a complete search...on my FORD Service manual DVD (sometimes it takes a while to find stuff)...the size of the U-bolt nuts are 16mm. and require 185 ft/lbs torque.

Thanks for all the replied.

Ok...here is another UPDATE for the update above.
The U-bolt nuts are 24mm ...and not the 16mm. The 185 ft/lbs is correct.
