I have a 2004 PSD CC, and the steering wheel is starting to squeak a lot especially when I turn the wheel to the left. It only squeaks in small increments of steering inputs, not during long full turns.
So how do I get rid of the squeak? Is there a place that I can lube with white grease or WD-40? Or is it a bad place to spray anything into the steering column? Let me know. Thanks.
I've tried everything, but mine has always squeaked since new, and only in cold weather. I just put up with it now. Been hoping that someone would figure this out for good, but every suggestion I've seen hasn't worked for me.
My wifes 02 Ex steering sqeaked, I bought a small tube of graphite, dabbed a little on between the wheel and column and turned back and forth and dabbed and so on, seems to have gone away....
Had a friend of mine spray WD 40 in the column, the WD messed with the horn stuff and it took about 15 minutes and a little blow of compressed air to make the horn stop blowing. I would try the graphite first.

If it is still under warranty take it back to dealer.
Mine was squeeking bad too, i finally figured out it was coming from the steering shaft boot that is under the dash where the shaft goes through the fire wall. I sprayed some silicone spray on it and the squeek was gone.
There's a rubber or plastic dust cover where the shaft enters the steering gear. A couple drops of oil on the shaft where that was rubbing cured the squeek in mine.

I have the same noise with short turns to the left.
