I am looking at tuners. I have a 04 F350 6.0. I am looking mostly for fuel economy aspect. I am not really interested in any of the extreme tunes that can damage engines or trannys or require other modifications. I do not have any other modifications done to my rig. With these factors in mind, can anyone steer me in the right direction?
This has always been a great site with extremely informative members and I appreciate any and all feedback.
so I have a older superchips 1704 I believe, when I put a tune in it seems like the tranny never wants to shift. Should I ditch this and go with something else. I will be pulling 12k most of the time and want something that would be good for my setup. Didn't mean to steal your thread, just though I would get some advice too.

Use SCT Xcal2 and the tranny tune is a prt of the Aggresive tow. You can also adjust shift & presure points too.
SCT all the way. Many more options and you might recall SCT was a part of supr chips up until a a year or so ago and then spun off to do its programming deal only.
That is correct. You manage your own truck and the tunes you use. I would suggest Joe Cram @ www.dynojoe.com. He sells them for $379 here in Houston on his website.
Look him up, give him a call and discuss what you want the truck to do. Others here like Innovative Diesel as they are a sponser. Check em both out.
