sometimes when i start the truck or when i am driving it. I hear a thump coming from above the left rear tire. It will last for about a few mintues and then it will go away. Anybody know what it could be? It is a 2002 Explorer with the 4.6l V8
its not the exhaust. it is coming from inside the panel but i dont know how to take it off. There are 4 pipe lines that go into whatever is making the noise. When it thumps it is almost at the same rate as a blinker.
Sounds like the same noise I have in my truck. I has something to do with the heater/air cond unit, air flow director. Has the same sound as the blend door problem, up front in other trucks. I opened up the side. (pain the a_ _ ), and did not have a fix for it. Just pulled the #20 fuse,(not sure, could be diff # fuse). Anyway, no noise. Just the Bride and myself in the truck.
