Another propulsion idea
I found pictures of this truck while looking through the classified ads on the Ford Barn web site. It is steam powered. It belongs to a person with a web site on Photobucket and goes by the name "toysanyone":
I don't know where you would get the head room to look over the top of the engine.

The guy's web site listed a whole bunch of interesting automotive items as far back as the early 1900's. I'm sure there is a lot of very interesting items all over the place.
