Dennis, well put. I know we like to have a laugh now and then, but some of this would've been much more appropriate for the chat room feature.
Here was my post from, #24 from this thread. I still think it's Ok advice Rangerrules, if you even bother to open this up again.

I have some, perhaps, useful advice.
Mr. rangerrules, you are obviously interested in Ford Trucks. Even if you do not own one. I mean, otherwise, why post anything here?
And I see that you are from Indiana.
My suggestion is joining and becoming active on the Indiana chapter forum. I would imagine you will meet people who live in your proximity and you might even have the opportunity to attend a gtg. I used to be a real outgoing person in high school, and then in college for a while, but I found that most of the friendships I had developed were very superficial. My best friends have turned out to be people I would not have guessed would become my best friends.
As for the guy in class, it appears you've got a feeling he's someone you'd like to spend more time with, on a friendship basis. But rejection hurts. Whether it's the guy you work with who turns down your invite to go fishing on Saturday, or if it's that gal you finally got the courage up to ask out and she tells you to take a hike. Sooooo, at the end of a really long post, like others have said, take it easy. Ask about coffee or donuts, or coffee and donuts. Don't think the worst if he says he can't, just kind of wing it. And whether you and he become pals or not, check out the Indiana chapter.
Most Hetero Male to Hetero Male friendship's find there own way in evolving.
Besides Talking about women ...talking sports like Golf,Football,Baseball is an excellent way to "Get an idea" or at least give the other Guy "an idea of what's going on"

There are people out there who dont have any or very few social skills and this thread had the potential to seriously help people like that.
Maybe someone can lock it now ..like the other nonsense threads that get locked ?
Gentlemen and Ladies, a lesson in Social Skills 101. Emphasis added.
Ok neighbors, let's give credit where credit is do. In about 10 days +/-, Dennis will have reached a pinnacle where no man or woman has reached before. At 19.92 posts a day, Dennis will reach the big 40,000 total posts. More than any mere mortal, moderator, super moderator, administrator, stud or offical spanker.
Congratulations Dennis when you acheive that magic number.
I think we need to get a little back on track. Let's give RR some good advice. Some fun is ok but I think we are pushing the boundaries a little.\
I'm being 100% serious now.
We've been off track since page 2. As far as pushing the boundaries, maybe we have (I'll admit that I'm guilty of it) a few times, but all in all, I think we've used fairly good judgement. Thanks for letting us have a little fun Matt.
No problem. I just didn't want to have to close this thread. I am just trying to steer it back in the direction it was headed on post #1. But it has been fun though.

With all the real problems in the world, people need to have a good laugh at the end of the day, that's all we're trying to do.
there are people out there who don't have any or very few social skills and this thread had the potential to seriously help people like that.
In all honesty, how in the world can someone learn social skills on the internet? Isn't the internet part of the reason why people have no social skills these days?
Maybe someone can lock it now ..like the other nonsense threads that get locked ?
I say(for what little my opinion is worth) as long as we're good...let us have some fun! If you don't like it, don't look at it!
