Pet Parties

Anyone here ever throw Birthday Party for their pet (s) ?

Yesterday my 3 Pups turned One year old so I threw them a BD party.

They were quite eager to get out of their crate yesterday morning but I made them wait while I made up their special breakfast first.. as they usually run out then pee 4 times each...then eat.

For their BD meal I gave them each a can of the best dog food I could find in their own bowls, with a dog biscuit in the shape of a 1 stuck in the top of the food.

I then let them outside to see what they would do .

Pee ....or Eat.

2 of them headed for their plastic fire hydrant to pee while Harley the Pig headed for the food.
It wasn't long until they were done eating and had that look in their eye.....you know the one...Thanks for the grub..what's for dessert ?

So we went for a walk pick up the mail and to visit the 2 girl dogs in the neighbourhood.
One of these girls will be Bayley's Mate next year .. wink ...wink.. nudge nudge

After getting back home and having a drink...they talked me into a car ride so they could stick their head out the window.

We decided to go to the town of Springbrook to see the devastation from the hail storm from last week.

Every house surely must have been damaged.

The dogs just looked at other dogs..they weren't interested in hail damage.
On our way home I stopped at DQ for a cone which ended up melting so fast I needed dog tongue help so I let them have a little until the danger had passed.

Once back home they had their regular dog food and then played outside with their toys and each other until dark ...then off to bed in their crate.
They each gave me a kiss and practically went right to sleep.

First thing this morning they said to me ....for their second birthday they would like to rent a limo and pickup ...( B....t....s) er... female dogs

That is so neat.
You know, most people don't even acknowledge their pets BD's.
For my pup, he gets a nice steak for his BD dinner, and we drive to the local ice cream place, were I get him a 'puppy cup'. Which is a cup of vanilla soft serve with some milk bones in it. The lady who owns the place already knows Cory very well. He loves ice cream.
And you know what's really sad. The only reason why I remember my best friend's daughter's BD, is because it is exactly a month after my dog's.
