I have wanted to put a muffler on my Expedition since I took it off the show room floor. Did the muffler make it very loud in the interior of your truck??

I chose the 50 series from Flowmaster. This unit is specific for SUV's and dont make alot of interior noise. While driving with the "OD" off you can hear it a bit more, but wit the "OD" on around town it is barely noticable. Also, on the freeway, you just hear it enough to let you know it is there and make you smile!!! My wife was driving away the other day, and the truck sounded excellent from the outside...

The clip of the Flowmaster sounds pretty good!! How much noise did that muffler add to the cabin area of your vehicle?

As I mentioned, it adds just enough inside to make you smile and know its there...The 50 series is just enough for our Expys. You really would not want it any louder.

Oh dopey me!! You did mention that didn't you?? As far as I am concerned, Interior noise is part of having a personalized vehicle. The concern I do have with the interior noise is that I generally have an employee or client with me, so cranking up the stero usually is out of the question.

Thanks for the info there ToolTime!!

I did a search for the flowmaster 50 series. It seems there's a few different versions. Is yours the delta flow?

As far as clients, mine do not seem to mind. Really the noise is not bad at all...Regarding the 50 series, I dont know, my invoice does not specify. Sorry!
