Hi,
I have the cruise control buttons on each side of the horn/airbag pad on the steering wheel on the wifes 96 XLT. These are illuminated but I've noticed on one side the bulb is out. How do I access the bulb, I don't see any obvious means and don't want to try and snap it apart.
I think you need to remove the air bag unit from the wheel. (Disconnnect the ground wire from the battery) Remove the two cap's from the back side of the steering wheel, remove the air bag unit , this will get you to the cruise control switches. Sorry, thats all the information I have. Don't know if their is a bulb or just part of the switch unit itself. Good luck.
