First off I appologize because I know this has been covered in the past but I have now found a chit load of LED fog bulbs in my search. I don't want to change out the entire light, just the bulbs. Anyone done this recently and if so how do the bulbs effect the side vision. Almost hit a deer a couple of nights ago with my F350.....don't want that, thanks.

 

Subscribing, i just installed the factory foglight kit and have plans of installing h10 LEDs from xenondepot. I don't know about added side vision, but I'm guessing since the fog lights provide close light, the LEDs are great. What makes me think this is, most headlight LED threads say they preform very well on low beam(when properly installed), but are scattered and not as good as halogens on high beams.

 

Thanks Ron, I'll look at xenondepot but what is the factory fog light kit? Is it different from what comes on the truck already?

 

I have the Xenon Depot lights and they are great. The fog lights do a great job at lighting the sides of the road.

No it's exactly what comes on the trucks, I have an xl with chrome appearance package. Added the fog lights to get rid of the ugly black vents in the bumper. It comes with the fog lights, bezels, harness, head lights switch, and a new BCM. The harness even has the plastic tabs already on it to mount in the holes on the bumper. $304. I have manual windows and lock, my BCM wasn't suppose to work, but for some reason it does, and I could have gotten away with the $180 kit.

The Xenon Depot's are excellent quality bulbs and produce a nice white light with a hint of blue. I believe they are 5k colorwise.

Sorry to hijack the the thread, but I have a pair for sale if anyone is interested. It was used for less than a year. I now have Morimoto LED Housings to match my projectors in the headlights. They will fit pretty much all superduty's and excursions utilizing the H10 bulb size which is from 99-15 I believe. if interested please email me at roblozada@gmail.com
