Ive got a 2006 250 6 speed powerstroke 4x4 and my buddy has a 2007 2500 duramaxx w/ the allison 4x4. well we chained up last night hitch to hitch and pulled. now that izuzu (duramax) has 650 lb ft of torwue vs my 580. But numbers dont matter because a pulled his *** like he was standing still. grany low 4x4 low and he had the chevy in 1st and 4x4 low. I think i speak for all ford owners when competeing against a chevy im proud to be a Ford man!
LOL--good kill. Did you have weight in the bed, cause usually it's the truck with more in the bed or the one that weighs the most that gets the best traction. Our salesman at work has an 04 KR CC and pulls a 30' horse trailer. He has an 05 dudamax for a work truck and he tells me there's no comparison--it's the Ford hands down power and mileage pulling the same trailer.
I love to hear things like that. By any chance did you get that on tape, I have a few buddies I would like to show that too. Now we just need to take down a cummins.
Hey don't mean to pee in the punch bowl but the chevy's have little pizza cutters for tires, "we" Ford guys have a ton of more rubber on the ground compared to the stock 245's on the chevys. If you have the 265's then you are almost an inch wider on each tire, this is a huge advantage. Remember the traction was the issue here not the power being produced.
No my bed wasn't full, all i had was my diamond plate tool box but so did the chevy. Our weight diffference is about 200 lbs.
No I did not video it but we're gonna pull again for a video because even he admits it was sweet lookn especially to see all four of his wheels smokin!
Im riding on stock tires but my buddy's Chevy is on 34'' x 10.5 Pro Comp Mud Terrains.
