e4od,mlps and solenoids

Can any one tell me how to adjust to mlps and where on the tranny can i find the internal solernoid pack? So far i had to replace my tps, but still no changes in the operation of the tranny. So before i rebuild the damn thing il try what i can.......lol need money. any other suggestions why it does nothing in drive? only reverse. b 4 i could simply unhook the battery, just to get her home 10km. it still will move a bit whan i put it in first. PLEASE NEED THE ADVISE.

The problem isn't the solenoids OR the MLPS sensor. Probably a forward clutch failure.

You have an internal hard failure.

You'll either need to drive it home in reverse or tow it home.

im not 100% sure of that! If that WAS the case, then the tranny souldnt work once i unhook the battery. Electrical error. I reset the ECC, then drive for a bit, then the sensors find a problem and let the ECC know. Then I have to reset again. The codes I receive show bad MAF or MAP, TPS, MLPS,HEGO shows lean. So I think Il start there. Gonna Get a handful of the snsors from the local scrape yard and see if there is a change, if so then I'll buy some new ones and replace. But first I just need to figure out how to ajust the MLPS, cause i cant see the line up marks. Thanks for the reply.

Well, you never mentioned any of that crap. I ain't psychic.... You never posted any codes or indicated you had any.

Put it in manual 2nd Gear. If it doesn't move, the problem is either mechanical or hydraulic, not electrical.

Hang all the junkyard parts on it you want to. Good luck.... Get a tow truck.

Thanks for the positive insight. Anyways all I asked for was how to adjust the MLPS and if there is a special application for takin the noids apart. Thats all I needed to know. The rest of the info you gave me was very helpful too. I'll be sure to file it correctly or even mention it in my thesis. right know i working on how they got the caramel into the caramel bar. Any clues. MAYBE A TOW TRUCK! That seems to be the answer to everything.EH! By the way nice (. )( .)

I don't know how to adjust the mlps, but the solenoid pack is located inside of the transmission. You have to take off the pan to get to it. You can find it by also looking at the wiring to the tranny. The tranny should have two large plugs on it: on on the mlps and the other on the solenoid pack.

As far as the rest of your problem, try disconnecting the solenoid pack and shifting it into 1st. This will eliminate any electronic issues.

At this point, if I had to adjust the mlps, I would do it by using neutral, park, and the starter. It would be a little trial and error, but it should get you there.

* Actually, after thinking about it for a minute I would use reverse and the reverse lights.
