e40d, screwed up and need help
So I wanted to replace the mlps and after I removed it I saw the shifter cable was in bad shape. I removed it as well, will replace it too. But in the process I moved the lever and now am not sure what position corresponds to what. Can someone tell me, if I am driver's side of the transmission, clicking the lever towards the front putting it in Park, or is it the opposite?
also, what position should it be when reinstalling the cable, and MLPS?

very easy to figure out.shift into park and watch to see if the cable lengthens or pulls right? then you'll know how it shifts from 1 to p.
when installing the range sensor (formerly known as the MLPS) line up the two lines on the sensor and have the trans shifted into N.
insure your wheels are chocked.
