No Running Lights

Hello All
I have a 1996 f 350 dually with the 7.3L Diesel. tonight while wiring my cousins trailer my running lights in the bed quit working. I chased the brown and white wire up to the cab and still no power. My turn signals work as well as my brake lights, just no running lights. What am i doing wrong? What can i check and see if that is the problem?

Have you checked your fuses?

I think your truck has a seperate circuit for some of the rear running lights. Thus the reason for the brown/white wire. The normal running light wire is brown. Check the fuses and any other little boxes you might see under the hood that may have fuses in it. You also have a relay for this extra circuit.

I don't have much info on your year truck, but the later trucks had it in the fuse box under the dash.

It should have it's own fuse for the aux running light circuit. Did you find it anywhere?

it had its own relay but i did not see a fuse. i traced it right back to the power distribution box and there is no power to the wire, or even the relay for that matter to any of the four tabs that the relay plugs into. i know there is power before the box and i am wondering if a wire fell off the inside of the distribution box?

Hey, the old freebie Haynes type schematic actually has it. Click on this link.

http://www.autozone.com/images/cds/g...3d800a3a5f.gif

It says fuse #4, 25 amps.
