You should only need one muffler, and you would be best off to have a muffler shop do it, because you will probalby need some piping too, since the flowmaster is shorter than the OEM muffler

You can not run a true dual exhaust on our trucks, it's illegal, but you can Y it after the cat and have 2 mufflers, you can have dual exhaust that way, it's not a true dual exhaust , but close enough, or as close as we legaly can get. The only reason a shop wouldn't do it, is if you wanted them to remove the cat, rigging up duals after the cat would be no problem and any exhaust shop should do it. Your next question would be, "how much do you think it will cost". I would call around in your area for the best price, I'm thinking since you allready have the mufflers, it should be around 200.00$, but don't quote me on that, call around.

How would running true duals be illegal? I would think if you ran dual cats and a cross over you would get the same as a singal pipe. If you had headers with the o2 sensor in them with all the factory stuff I would think this would pass. I know to do this it is not cheap but this is why they have 50 state legal mods. I'm sure some states are differant, so you would want to check first.I know in Colorado there tuff ,but if you have the proper paper work you can do it.

it depends, some states, like california wont let you alter the stock configuration at all, which would mean you couldnt run true duals, since there are cats in the system after the Y pipe
