Unhappy How to install a new driver side window?

I am replacing the driverside window in my 87 F150 this weekend with the correct glass (previous owner used an earlier model glass so it doesn't work with the power controls and the edges are not as rounded). Does anyone have good instructions for this? I believe you have to take the whole track out but could use some help if anyone knows.

You do not have to remove the track or even the regulator. You do have to remove the vent window assy. and then you can just drop the window into place. Once you have it engaged into the regulator, put the vent window back in.

The vent window is held in place by 2 phillips screws on the outside of the window frame and then one 10mm bolt on the inside of the door frame.

JAS88 has got it, but maybe I'll clarify just a tad. There are 2 screws or small bolts under the rubber trim on the leading/sloped edge of the door. Then there is a single bolt on the inside door surface just below the vent window latch about 3-4". You'll have to remove the inner door skin to get at it. Once these are out pull back at the top of the vent window, twist and remove the whole assembly from the door. The main window has to be down to do this.

reviving this old thread because i need to replace my passenger side vent window due to a broken latch mechanism (it's snapped right off). conanskis info has been very enlightening. i am wondering whether , during this procedure, the rubber seal comes out with the vent window assembly or do i leave it in place ?
thank you.
