I don't know, John seemed to be the only other one who was confirmed (since he set it up in the first place) but he hasn't been on since Thursday afternoon, I can only assume he had some sort of emergency come up.
I knew you were only a possibility Tim, but I still hoped you would say what the hell and make it down. Would have been fun. I know what you mean about the wood pile though, I'm going to have to do some work on mine today. 33º right now and I have to keep the fire burning.
But I don't really know what the answer is here. Perhaps others will read this and chime in with their thoughts. I really thought there was a strong desire among chapter members to have some sort of a GTG but when the opportunity arose, nothing came of it. I know we're pretty widespread, but so are a lot of the NW chapter members and they make it happen all the time. Those guys will spend 40 bucks on gas to get together and drink a few beers. (There was a beer booth at the show... )
Maybe in the spring when it's warmer...?

I thought about a last minute trip there, but spent the day making progress on my shop lights. Up the ladder, into the bucket, down the ladder, move the tractor...and repeat----only 5 more trips to make.
Hanklin, you thought about joining the chapter? Heck, this whole GTG thing would have been no sweat for you, all right in your backyard!
Yeah Mike, I was hoping you'd be there too. I have things I need to get done, but I put them off to go to this. I'm waiting for it to warm up enough to go out and tackle the Ranger again, plus I need to see about the u-joints on the F-250. Supposed to rain again tomorrow and Tuesady so I may have some time off from work coming up...

Then, just spend every moment of your waking time on here in this forum, posting like mad about eveything you can think of...
Well, not really, but what the heck, it sounded good...!
Dan, you wrote my planned response before I could. I was there about 5 of 1:00. I told the waitress that there might be some people already there for Ford Truck Enthusiasts. She asked and said there were not but she would stear anybody back to us if they arrived. I think her name was Aimee. We were in the back corner until about 2:00PM. I just figured that nobody wanted to come out on Saturday because the weather looked so threatening. Sorry we missed you, but I can see how it could have happened. The place is very popular and was very noisy and busy. Just for those of you who did not go to Pleasanton, the rain was minimal (a couple of sprinkles) and the food at Jims Cafe was great. So Dan, even though I did not get to meet you, I applaud the effort. It's probably all my fault for not making a big sign or something. Sorry again, Jag
Looks like I just got the clueless waitresses who didn't know, I talked to two of them and mentioned FTE but they didn'y have a clue. Did you happen to notice a short guy in a bright orange Cobra jacket at the register talking to them for a bit? If so, that would have been me. I guess I should have had you paged just to be sure. Well, maybe next time...
I was planning on being there as a newbie, but realized later that I had an all weekend thing planned with my son and about 180 other people that I had paid real good money for and couldn't bail out on. Kids, what r ya gonna do?
