November 11 is the next one. It's held at the Pleasnton Fair Grounds. I usually get there about 8:00am, walk around drooling for about 5 hours and then go home. I propose that we meet for lunch at 1:00 or 2:00. It could be at a restaurant or there could be a BBQ if somebody is willing to volunteer their cooking talent. I'm not sure what everybody would want to eat so maybe the restaurant is a better idea. I know there is a Dennys not too far from the fairgrounds. Jag

Sounds fine to me. I may have a conflict from a another car club (a very small British car the original Mini, not the BMW version!), but it doesn't look like that right now.
I'll be the one walking around without his truck keys because it's halfway apart in the garage waiting for me to put it back together. The parts are almost all here though, so I'm getting closer to thinking about starting to work on it again! No really, I am.
I'm going to see if there's any way I can make it to this. I set myself a goal of mid-November to have the Ranger finished, it would be nice if I could get it done in time for this meet and drive it down there. Getting close now...
It is a restaurant, I just cant remember the name. It's at a shopping center with a grocery store about a mile-ish off 680. It's been about 8 years since I was in there, but I think it's named after the owner. Something like Anthony's, or tony's, or something to that effect. The waitresses make it all worth it, as does the good grub.....lots of omelette choices. I'm waiting for a call back from a friend that I used to work with, when I worked in that area. Then I'll find out the name.
There's also the Hopyard Brewery on Hopyard Road (of course). They have a very good selection of food including burgers and salads and many different beers, for those so inclined. I don't think they are really a brewery though. It's north of the fair grounds and out of the area that most people from the show will go for lunch.
That's the place! be cautious if you have a jealous wife, the "scenery" is nice inside there. Just tell her you're looking at the old horse ranch stuff on the wall!
