Difference Front and Rear

It's time to change the front brakes. I have an 01 2x4 with all discs, and I was wondering if there was any differences that I should be worried about between the front and rears.

I have done the rears myself, but what's different with the front.

On a 2wd, the fronts are a hub and rotor assembly, one piece. On your truck, the spindle nut in the center is removed, and the rotor comes off. Make sure to catch the outer wheel bearing as it falls out. You'll need to buy front wheel seals for the new rotors, and should repack the bearings. Da Bairs

The front also has dual piston calipers which sometimes can be fun to compress back into the calipers.

If you're swapping out the pads, you can use a c-clamp to bottom out the calipers.

Keep the old pad against the caliper as you tighten the clamp.
