I'm getting ready for the TE 17* install but I'm keeping the stock IPR, What do I need as far as gaskets and o-rings to make sure there's no leaks after the install?

your HPOP gasket should be the same as the SD gasket so just get a new HPOP gasket and possibly new o-rings on the 2 fittings in the HPOP too. go ahead and put new o-rings on the IPR too and your good to go.

Good info. doing the pump now on a buddies truck.and that washer was sketchy

what size is the allen on the hpop plug.. i need to keep one in my glovebox.. also got any tricks to fill that small hole?

That flat washer on the pump gear can fall where you can't reach it but your bit totally screwed, you just have to remove the upper res section. To be honest I actually remove the upper section anyways and it keeps me from having to remove the ebp tube and reseal the drive bolt cover. It is a pain to restart the bolt but it saves "me" time. Ive gotten pretty good at changing the hpop lately!

nah, just pull it out carefully. =)

Travis tested this on a truck with the washer. I believe he found that there is no place for it to fall too.

I guess the EGR tube would be up there in the way on later models woudln't it?

I cleaned mine while I was in there, it was packed full, no idea how i wasn't throwing a code.

It's not hard to do though if you take your time, right bulla?

Yeah, the biggest worry I can see is putting the pump back in, its a PITA.

And you gotta force yoruself not to shove it in all the way at first so you dont shove the gear off.

97 7.3L will not start turns over no smoke. i changed the IDM and the HPOP no start
