352s came in several versions;

1958-60 4V 300hp@ 400
1960HP 4V 360hp@6000 (Mechanical Cam)
1960 2V 235hp@4400
1961-63 2V 220hp@4400
1964-66 4V 250hp@4400

Good motor? Yes. A little short on bore and stroke at 4.00" X 3.50" (a 360 is a .050" over 352). Block is the same basic FE block for the later engines.

A 77 should have a 360 in it, enless someone put in an older engine.

Don't be fooled by the 352 casted into right side ofthe block. Almost every Fe engine had this casted into them.

A true dump truck 360 is actually an FT series engine and would be a 361. Different crank and several other things, plus very low compression (7.4 to 1, where a 360's has 8.4 to 1). I doubt it came out of a dump truck if it has any real go power. The 360 is a .050" overbored 352. Some of the 352 would be stronger than a 360 due to higher compression and better carburation.

The FT motor has a cast front timing cover on it. The FE has a tear drop shaped timing cover and is only about a foot high.

I got something messed up?
I thought the FE's quit in '76. :/

If so, and it's not and FT, but it has 352 on it...
...my money's on it being a 390 FE.
