dash cleaner
Anyone have a recomendation on products for cleaning the dash? It has a few black spots that look like greasy or oily parts were set on there and have baked into the plastic. The rest looks good, no spots or cracks. I am hoping to restore those spots. Any ideas would be a huge help!!!

Depending on the condition of the dash you could always consider one of the velour or carpet dash covers sold by J C WHitney. I got one for my truck when new in '93 and it fits so well I never used the fasteners, and it still looks like new, too. And I know the dash uner it still looks new. My truck never sees the inside of a garage either. It lives in NE Ohio.
Just an option. Anyway, I'd try some light oil first, like WD-40 or furniture oil to cut the residue, then maybe some mild detergent. Follow up w/ good vinyl conditioner.
