I'm thinking im going to try to put my garmin gps in the dash of my F-250. If I can find a spot that it will fit. Im not at home right now so I dont know if I can get a spot big enough to do this. I will be home tommrow so I will look then. I cant wait, if it turns out the way im thinking it will look sweet. I think I may even look into putting my Serious in the dash. Im getting tired of seeing them on my windshield. I already have a indash DVD player (dosent have built in nav, and is only compatible with XM), so I dont really want to buy a different one. Plus I already have the nav and the serious. Has anyone tryed to put a nav in the dash?

Not the Nav. But I do have the Sirius One reciever and I cut the hook on the lower part of the dash and installed it there. I used the PIE adapter and got power from the aux. 2 wires above the aux outlet that turns off with the key. Hopefully that helps and maybe I will be able to post some pics. of what I did. I bought a HavisShields console and put my CB, and Scanner in it so It looks nice and clean now. I added the 08 consloe and I am waiting for the Wet Okle Seat covers to come in too.

The Havius shields Console is a black box sort of speak that goes in front of the factory console. Its metal and will hold what ever. Its made mostly for communications equipment like CB, Scanner, Ham, and anyother 2 way radios and such. I am a Chief in a FD up here and when I am not using the company truck I have a scanner in my personal truck and its always a hassle finding some place to mount that stuff so I bought one and couldnt be happier. I have a fuse block wired up in there also so I have all the power I need for any acc. I want to install. I will post up some pics. of it in the next day or two.
I will also try to find the linke to the web site. (Vehicle Lighting Solutions, Inc. - Distributor for Whelen, Pro Gard, Havis-Shield, and Decatur) You can then search HavisShields Consoles or Jotto Desk Consoles. I will find the part # that I used so you have it if you want it.

Thanks for the link. I found the Jotto desk I really like that and it might be a good place to mount the gps and stuff. If I cant find a spot in the dash that I like. Let me know when you get some pics of the Sirius. Thanks again

its a street pilot I dont remember for sure witch one. I think its a c550 or c530. do you have a link for quick release panel mount

Yuo might want to take a look at RAM-Mounts. They make some pretty cool mounts for about everything. I have had very good luck with their products over the years.

that looks awesome sarge. I like that console. I found a perfect spot for the gps. It will look great. The only problem is that the one that I have I dont think will fit, but the one that my wife has is perfect. So now I have to either talk my wife into giving me hers, or go buy a new one.
