Well, sometimes Ford finds some "ENHANCEMENTS" to add in. Read: it fixes an oopsie. that or you might have gotten a new PCM and so it is programmed to the latest specs. I have an 01 that I got reprogrammed to the latest file. Didn't notice much of a change. Switched to a DP Tuner programmed unit
I've got a hole drilled through my DLC (diagnostic link connector) under the dash and a small padlock run through it to keep any unwanted "spam" coming into my PCM. I've heard way too many horror stories from 6.0L owners about "flash updates".
